Job summary

Nidec Defense Group seeks an experienced electrical engineer to design, develop and test industrial rotary encoders for market release. You will handle circuit and fixture design, budgeting, prototype coordination, validation, certification, BOMs, reporting and production support in a cross-functional environment.

Ideal candidates have deep expertise in real-time Embedded C, motor controls, diagnostics and EMI/EMC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or Master’s (MSEE) required.
• 10–15 years of circuit design and new product development experience.
• Experience with motor controls and industrial automation.

Responsibilities

• Lead new product development of rotary encoders to meet CE, UL and ATEX requirements.
• Circuit design and simulation.
• Specify electronic components for new products or replacements.
• Validation testing and documentation including FMEA and PFMEA assistance.
• Creating work instructions.
• Production support.
