Job summary

Prosum seeks an experienced Senior Product Development Engineer to lead the design, development, testing, and commercialization of industrial rotary encoder products. You will own the full lifecycle from circuit design to manufacturing support in a demanding industrial setting.

The role requires hands-on expertise in analog/digital electronics, microprocessors/ASICs, and Embedded C, with a track record of leading cross-functional teams and delivering complex projects on time.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
10+ years of experience in electrical circuit design and new product development.
Strong experience with analog and digital electronics.
Experience with microprocessors, ASICs, and PCB design.
Knowledge of EMI immunity and emissions requirements and mitigation techniques.
Experience with magnetics and electronic systems in industrial applications.
Experience with diagnostics and industrial communication buses/protocols (RS-232, RS-485, I2C, SPI, CAN).
Experience with embedded real-time programming using Embedded C.
Experience in industrial automation or similar environment.
Ability to lead complex projects from concept through production.

Responsibilities

Lead new product development projects for industrial rotary encoders and related electronics.
Design, simulate, prototype, debug, and validate analog/digital circuits.
Ensure regulatory compliance (CE, UL, ATEX) for products.
Select components for new designs and replacements.
Coordinate prototype development with cross-functional teams.
Develop project plans, schedules, and documentation.
Provide manufacturing support and troubleshooting for legacy products.
Mentor and guide other engineers.
