Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital-Memphis, a Tenet Healthcare facility, is seeking an EMT to join the healthcare team under RN direction. You will perform delegated patient care duties in the department, including admissions, discharges, and transfers, and assist with various routine care procedures in alignment with hospital policies.

The role requires EMT-Intermediate or Paramedic certification in Tennessee, BLS/CPR, and CPI completion within 3 months.

Qualifications

Graduate of an Emergency Medical Technician Program – Intermediate or Paramedic accredited program.
Licensed in the State of Tennessee as an EMT – Intermediate or Paramedic.
BLS/CPR Healthcare Provider (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).
CPI required within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

Assists with admissions, discharges, and transfers of patients.
Performs routine patient care procedures and treatments for patients in assigned area according to hospital policy.
Dressing changes, wound care, enemas, urinary catheter insertion and care, ice/elevation of wounds, bedpan duties, feeding patients and other duties as assigned.
