Job summary
Top Prospect Group seeks an experienced Manufacturing Technical Engineering Manager to lead EMS/PCB/PCBA contract manufacturing efforts in a high-mix electronics environment. The role is hands-on and requires direct supervision of SMT programming and technical engineering teams.
The candidate will oversee data preparation, production documentation, and manufacturing support while partnering with Operations, Quality, Program Management, Planning, Supply Chain, and Production to drive performance
Qualifications
- Direct EMS/PCB/PCBA contract manufacturing experience required.
- Strong hands-on SMT experience in high-mix EMS environments.
- Experience with SMT placement programming and component libraries.
- Knowledge of CAD, Gerber data, BOMs and electronic manufacturing data.
Responsibilities
- Lead Technical Engineering and SMT Programming activities.
- Manage and develop Technical Engineering/SMT Programming personnel.
- Establish workflow, priorities, and cross-training.
- Support SMT production equipment and programming platforms.
- Review and process manufacturing data and customer data packages.
- Lead ECOs, component substitutions, and manufacturing changes.
- Mentor technical staff and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
