Job summary

Ogletree Deakins in Denver seeks an experienced litigation attorney to join the Employment Law Practice. The Employment Counsel will manage a full caseload from inception to resolution, developing strategy with shareholders, counsel, and clients.

Responsibilities include discovery, drafting motions, court appearances, and trial preparation in a team-oriented environment. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and thrives in a fast-paced setting with strong writing and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor; licensed in Colorado in good standing with ongoing licensure requirements.
• 7+ years of Employment Litigation Defense experience preferred.
• Experience handling civil litigation from inception through resolution.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Experience with discovery, motion practice, and depositions.
• Courtroom, mediation, and arbitration experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of employment litigation from inception through resolution.
• Develop litigation strategy in collaboration with Shareholders, Counsel, and clients.
• Conduct discovery, draft substantive motions, and attend court appearances.
• Support trial preparation and coordinate day-to-day case management.
• Work in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines.
