Martenson, Hasbrouck & Simon LLP in New York seeks an experienced attorney with 4–7+ years of litigation to join our employment defense team. You will handle matters directly with clients on litigation strategy and defend single-plaintiff employment lawsuits and related administrative matters.

Ideal candidates have substantial civil litigation experience, including discovery management, drafting and arguing motions, taking and defending depositions, and appearing at hearings and mediations.

Qualifications

• JD degree from an ABA accredited law school.
• 4-7+ years of litigation experience; employment law background strongly preferred.
• Active New York Bar admission required; other admissions a plus.
• Experience handling discovery, motion practice, and hearing and trial experience.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
• Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills.

Responsabilités

• Defend single-plaintiff employment lawsuits and related administrative matters.
• Work directly with clients on litigation strategy and matter handling.
• Manage discovery, draft and argue motions, and take/defend depositions.
• Participate in hearings and mediations and interact with courts and agencies.
• Collaborate with partners and other team members on matters.
