Ogletree Deakins' New Orleans office is seeking an employment litigation associate to join its dynamic practice representing premier local and national employers. The role requires proactive attorneys who will engage in high-level labor and employment work and interact with clients, agencies and opposing counsel.

The successful candidate will have 5+ years of litigation experience, excellent analytical and writing skills, and the ability to relate to sophisticated business clients.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor and active Louisiana bar admission in good standing.
• 5+ years of litigation experience required.
• Employment litigation experience preferred.
• Excellent analytical, writing and communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct legal research and draft memoranda, motions and pleadings.
• Attend court conferences and manage discovery-related activities and investigations.
• Draft position statements and dispositive motions and advise clients on employment-law matters.
• Counsel clients and coordinate with opposing counsel and government agencies.
