Job summary

UPS is seeking an experienced Employment Litigation Attorney to join its global legal team in Atlanta, Georgia. The attorney will lead strategy and management of complex employment litigation, administrative proceedings, and disputes involving UPS and its workforce.

The role requires independent development of litigation strategy, directing experienced outside counsel, and advising senior leaders on significant employment risks.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• Active and in-good-standing license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• At least 7 years of progressively responsible legal experience, with substantial experience handling employment litigation.
• Experience handling claims involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, accommodations, leave, wage‑and‑hour requirements, or other employment laws.

Responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of employment litigation in federal/state courts, arbitration, and administrative forums.
• Manage disputes including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wage‑and‑hour claims.
• Direct responses to administrative charges and coordinate with HR, Compliance, and business leaders.
• Develop litigation strategy, supervise outside counsel, and manage budgets and timelines.
• Lead and develop legal support staff to ensure high-quality case work.
• Provide practical risk counseling to senior leadership on employment matters.
