Job summary

Delta Dental of California is seeking a Senior Legal Analyst to support the Legal Department in employment, labor, and benefits matters. The role involves substantial research, document creation, and case management with escalating responsibility across projects.

You will analyze complex issues, interpret regulations, and develop strategies to mitigate risk while partnering with HR and other stakeholders to drive business outcomes. Strong communication and confidentiality are essential.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor's degree; JD or paralegal certification preferred.
• Minimum 4 years of experience; strong emphasis on employment and labor law.
• Experience in law firm and/or corporate legal department with a focus on labor and employment law.

Responsibilities

• Support attorneys on employment, labor, and benefits matters.
• Manage time-sensitive employment law projects and track regulatory updates.
• Coordinate with outside employment counsel and assist with deposits and discovery requests.
• Research statutes and case law; provide recommendations and conclusions.
• Develop and manage internal employment tracking systems and training materials.
• Assist with drafting standard employment documents and respond to RFPs.
