Job summary

Edward Jones seeks an experienced employment attorney to join the Legal division’s Talent team. You will advise on sophisticated, enterprise-wide employment-law matters and own meaningful matters in partnership with Human Capital and business leaders across a multi-state organization.

You will draw on wage-and-hour expertise while expanding practice breadth, shaping policies and workforce practices, and guiding practical solutions with support from colleagues.

Qualifications

• J.D. degree and active Missouri license or ability to obtain within six months.
• 5+ years of progressively responsible employment law experience.
• Solid experience advising on wage-and-hour matters across multi-state pay practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical employment-law guidance to Human Capital and leaders on a broad range of matters.
• Lead wage-hour classification, compensation programs, and timekeeping policy reviews.
• Partner with finance and business leaders on compensation design and incentive plans.
• Monitor changes in law and translate them into policy updates and compliance strategies.
• Draft, review, and update employment policies, agreements, and workplace standards.
• Assess risk and support practical, actionable decisions for leadership.
• Contribute to training and broader legal and business initiatives.
