Job summary

HackerOne seeks a trusted Senior Counsel for Employment & Compliance to lead the Legal team's employment, litigation, and compliance function. The role partners with stakeholders across the company to balance legal risk with rapid growth and reports to the Chief Legal Officer.

As a hands-on member of the Legal team, you will operationalize corporate compliance programs and workforce policies while aligning legal guidance to business objectives in a remote-friendly environment.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school with active bar admission in good standing.
• 7+ years of legal experience in labor and employment, compliance and investigations.
• Experience managing complex legal matters with cross-functional advisory work.
• Ability to evaluate legal and business risks and manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Serve as trusted senior advisor to executives on complex U.S. and global labor and employment matters.
• Advise on employee relations issues, compliance, investigations, performance management and terminations.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to advise on platform and marketplace legal risk.
• Manage disputes, legal holds, investigations, e-discovery, subpoenas and regulatory inquiries.
• Provide counsel on regulatory and compliance issues related to the platform, customers, and workforce.
• Act as AI-forward partner to improve legal research, risk identification, and workflow efficiency.
