Job summary

BCG Attorney Search in Oakland, CA seeks a Senior Attorney to lead Employment Class Action, Wage & Hour, and PAGA matters from strategy through trial or appeal.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years of experience, active California Bar membership, and a proven record in complex litigation, motions, and depositions. This role offers growth within a collaborative litigation team and opportunities to shape the Employment practice.

Qualifications

• Active California State Bar membership in good standing.
• Seven or more years of Employment Class Action, Wage & Hour, and PAGA litigation experience.
• Proven ability to independently manage complex matters and drive litigation strategy.

Responsibilities

• Lead Employment Class Action, Wage & Hour, and PAGA matters through all stages of litigation.
• Develop case strategies including certification, discovery, damages, settlement and trial.
• Draft and argue motions, pleadings, and other complex legal filings.
• Take and defend party, witness, corporate representative, and expert depositions.
• Direct written discovery and analyze payroll, timekeeping, and workforce data.
• Represent clients at hearings, mediations, settlement conferences, and trials.
• Work with experts on damages, liability, and class-certification issues.
• Negotiate resolutions that maximize value for clients.
• Mentor attorneys and collaborate with a strong litigation support team.
• Help shape the continued growth and success of the Employment practice.
