Job summary

NC State University is seeking a seasoned HR professional to join the Department of Employee Relations. You will provide strategic consultation on complex personnel issues, advise on disciplinary actions, and support prevention and resolution of workplace concerns across faculty, staff, and administrators.

Responsibilities include managing ER programs, conducting detailed workplace investigations, delivering training, and leading cross-functional projects to modernize workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years in Human Resources focusing on Employee Relations.
• Demonstrated ability to interpret and communicate regulations and policies to diverse audiences.
• Experience managing complex employee relations matters and conducting workplace investigations.

Responsibilities

• ER consultation and issue resolution for complex personnel matters.
• Program management for Employee Relations programs (EAP, Dispute Resolution, policy development, performance management).
• Conduct workplace investigations and provide guidance on corrective actions.
• Develop and deliver training on employee relations topics to campus units and staff.
• Lead cross-functional projects to modernize ER workflows and improve compliance.
