Job summary

Axiom is seeking a Manager, Employee Relations to join our People Team in Chicago. This senior individual contributor will manage employee relations for our legal talent population and contribute to policy development and compensation initiatives.

You will partner with Legal Talent, Talent Success Partners, Sales, People Team, Legal and Compliance to resolve complex workplace matters, supporting US-based employees with potential expansion to Canada, UK, Asia and Australia.

Qualifications

• Ability to stay tactful and persuasive in challenging situations.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage complex employee relations matters for Legal Talent, including performance concerns, conduct issues, harassment and discrimination complaints.
• Lead prompt, fair investigations; gather facts, document findings, and recommend resolutions.
• Coordinate with People leadership and Legal counsel on final decisions and implement actions.
• Coach managers on performance management, feedback, and difficult conversations.
• Handle sensitive wellness and mental health concerns with confidentiality and empathy.
• Maintain thorough, confidential case documentation and communications.
• Identify recurring themes and suggest policy or process improvements.
• Contribute to global People initiatives and annual compensation review processes.
