Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal Employee Communications Representative in McLean, VA. You will serve as a strategic advisor, shaping employee communications and leading internal campaigns to inform and inspire across functions.

You’ll craft talking points, speeches and executive messages, manage announcements, and analyze metrics to continually improve engagement, alignment with business priorities and the Northrop Grumman brand.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience developing and deploying communications practices; or 3+ years with a Master’s degree.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
• High integrity handling sensitive information; strong written and verbal communication; superb attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Inform and inspire employees and drive business priorities within Defense Systems.
• Provide strategic counsel and account management to functional leaders.
• Draft talking points, speeches, presentations, video scripts and executive summaries.
• Lead and coordinate function announcements with standard processes; align with enterprise campaigns.
• Write, edit and facilitate internal materials, feature stories and engaging content.
• Produce content including articles, videos, interviews, Q&As, infographics; manage intranet and distribution lists.
• Own metrics across channels; provide regular reporting and insights to stakeholders.
• Plan and execute internal engagements (webcasts, town halls, leadership calls) with teams.
• Support tools maintenance to keep content timely and user-friendly; surge as needed.
• Ensure communications plans reflect Northrop Grumman brand and strategic vision.
