Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking an EMI Test Engineer to support EMI/EMC testing for complex products. The role involves hands-on lab work, equipment stewardship, and collaboration with engineering partners in a world-class facility in Cedar Rapids, IA.

The ideal candidate has EMI lab experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to guide test procedures to meet industry standards such as MIL-STD-461 and DO-160. This is an onsite position with opportunities to contribute across programs.

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain a US DoD Security Clearance
• STEM degree with minimum 5 years of relevant experience or advanced degree with 3 years
• Hands-on troubleshooting using lab equipment (oscilloscopes, signal generators, power meters)

Responsibilities

• Maintain EMI lab organization and equipment readiness
• Calibrate test chambers and equipment; coordinate cross-lab activities
• Serve as SME for EMI test equipment and test setups
• Diagnose and resolve issues with test hardware and software
• Manage lab equipment needs and post-calibration tasks
• Research and design new EMI test capabilities and update procedures
