Job summary

SimIS, Inc. seeks a Senior Emerging Technology Analyst to assess how emerging technologies apply to military environments and translate findings into practical adoption paths and evidence-based recommendations. The role is 100% onsite in a contract context.

Requirements include a Master’s in CS/ICT and 10 years interpreting future S&T and EDT information, plus 5–10 years in acquisition and analysis of defense-related RT&I, with strong emphasis on EDT documentation and adoption pathways.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in computer science or related field.
• 10 years interpreting future S&T and EDT information for military use.
• 5–10 years acquiring, assembling and interpreting research & technology data.
• 5 years analyzing EDT docs and identifying adoption opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Identify and catalogue Emerging and Disruptive Technologies (EDTs).
• Assess EDT implications and adoption opportunities for WDA.
• Promote EDT-based experiments in realistic environments.
• Coordinate input to EDT activities within ACT S&T POW and NDPP.
• Influence EDTs for capability shortfalls and available assets.
• Produce EDT advisory input for strategic foresight analyses (SFA, FFAO).
• Coordinate status of EDT adoption among ACT, NATO and national stakeholders.
