Job summary

Sound Transit is seeking a Senior Emergency Management Specialist to plan, develop, and coordinate all-hazard emergency prevention, protection, mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery activities for the Emergency Management Program.

You will ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, develop training and drills, and coordinate with agencies to strengthen preparedness across ST operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Emergency Management, Community Planning, Business Continuity, or a related field.
• Four years of experience in safety, transit operations, or first responder roles, or an equivalent mix of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Develops, implements, and coordinates all-hazard emergency prevention, protection, mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery activities.
• Ensures compliance with Federal and State regulations affecting daily operations and emergency management planning.
• Designs and administers training, drills, and exercises for staff readiness and agency preparedness.
