Job summary

F5 Networks, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Regulatory Compliance Engineer to partner with internal engineering teams and external vendors to ensure F5 hardware meets EMC, safety, and regulatory standards worldwide.

The role involves coordinating testing plans, maintaining vendor relationships, reviewing designs for compliance, and supporting travel for on-site exams as needed. The position reports to the Regulatory Compliance team and offers a path to influence product safety across the portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• 5+ years of relevant EMC / Product Safety / Compliance experience (7-10 years preferred).
• Proficient with different certification and testing standards, such as CISPR, CSA, EN, IECEE CB Scheme, FCC, NEBS, TUV, and UL.
• Familiar with National Electric Code basics and reading wiring diagrams/electronic circuits.
• Hands-on experience with EMC and Product Safety test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate EMC and product safety compliance activities for F5 hardware, including schedules, test plans, and report reviews.
• Coordinate NEBS compliance testing for F5 hardware products.
• Establish and maintain relationships with testing vendors for compliance certifications.
• Stay updated on EMC and safety standards domestically and internationally.
• Review new hardware designs to ensure regulatory compliance is met.
• Participate in internal/off-site testing for EMC, safety, NEBS, or other standards (up to 25% travel).
• Create, develop, and maintain in-house test procedures and documentation.
• Lead root-cause analysis for non-compliance issues.
