Job summary

Rivian Automotive seeks an Electromagnetic Compatibility Engineer to join the team responsible for EMC integration in PCBAs and ECUs across Rivian's EV platforms. You will assess electromagnetic interactions and provide design validation guidance for integration within vehicle environments.

The role emphasizes hands-on testing, model development, and cross-functional collaboration with hardware and software teams to ensure robust EMI performance across platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with 5+ years of work experience.
• Master's degree in electrical engineering with 3+ years of work experience.
• PhD in electrical engineering with 1+ year of work experience.
• Strong understanding of circuit fundamentals, analog/RLC, transmission line theory, and switch-mode power supplies.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with hardware designers to develop next-generation control electronics for Rivian vehicles.
• Develop and validate electromagnetic models to predict circuit behavior in real-world environments.
• Test ECU and vehicle design margins in EMC laboratories.
• Develop system models for EMI Source/Victim interactions and feed into integration and wiring design.
