Job summary

Robert Bosch Group in Plymouth, MI is seeking an experienced Sr EMC Engineer to lead electromagnetic compatibility activities across the product lifecycle. You will serve as primary EMC contact for OEMs, interpret specifications, and develop compliance matrices with customer agreement.

You will coordinate DV/PV test campaigns, review results, investigate deviations, and guide EMC hardware design. Fluency in English is required; German is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, or Automotive).
• 5+ years of professional experience in EMC testing within electronics engineering, especially automotive or aerospace.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret technical specifications and compliance documentation.
• Ability to communicate technical findings and recommendations in writing.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary EMC contact for OEM technical communications and requirements management.
• Analyze and interpret legal and OEM EMC specification documents to ensure compliance.
• Develop and maintain EMC Compliance Matrices documenting requirements and obtain customer agreement.
• Create EMC test specifications for DV and PV phases per applicable requirements.
• Plan and coordinate EMC DV test campaigns with internal teams.
• Plan and coordinate EMC PV test campaigns with certified and OEM-recognized test laboratories.
• Review and evaluate EMC test reports for accuracy and compliance.
• Communicate EMC test results and findings to customers and stakeholders.
• Conduct root cause analysis for EMC deviations and suggest corrective actions.
• Communicate deviations and improvement measures to ECU development teams.
• Provide guidance on EMC-compatible electrical hardware design.
• Support the development of EMC-compliant circuit design, layout, and electromechanical product design.
