Job summary

Blue Origin in Washington State is seeking a skilled EMC Engineer to lead EMI/EMC testing and verification for advanced spacecraft systems, with strong ownership of MIL-STD-461 methods.

You will develop test plans, execute a full MIL-STD-461 suite, and work with cross-functional teams to ensure compliant, safe, and reliable spaceflight hardware. Strong communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Aerospace engineering, or physics.

Responsibilities

• Serve as responsible engineer for EMI/EMC test and verification with MIL-STD-461 conformance.
• Author EMI/EMC documentation including test strategies, requirements decomposition, and margin plans.
• Design, develop, and refine test plans and procedures for EMI/EMC tests on avionics.
• Lead complete MIL-STD-461 test suite (CE101/CE102/CS101/CS114/CS115/CS116/RE101/RE102/RS101/RS103).
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain EMI test equipment (receivers, generators, LISNs, probes).
• Produce test reports with spectra, margins, photos, and pass/fail dispositions.
• Troubleshoot EMI/EMC failures and recommend corrective actions.
