Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an EMC Design & Test Engineer to drive EMC principles across the product development lifecycle, collaborating with hardware, software, and mechanical teams to ensure designs are compliant from the ground up.

You will perform system-level compliance testing, troubleshoot complex EMC issues, and contribute to regulatory submissions and certifications using modern EMC test equipment in a global engineering environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in engineering/physics.
• 2-5 years of EMC design and testing experience.
• Knowledge of IEC 61326-1, CISPR 11/EN55011, FCC, IEC 61000-4-x.
• Experience with EMC compliance, validation, and testing methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Integrate EMC principles throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Partner with hardware, software, and mechanical engineering teams for design-for-EMC.
• Conduct system-level compliance testing and troubleshoot challenging EMC issues.

Job description

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Physics, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 2-5 years of EMC design and testing experience
• Knowledge of EMC standards including IEC 61326-1, CISPR 11/EN55011, FCC, and IEC 61000-4-x
• Experience with EMC compliance, validation, and testing methodologies
• Ability to troubleshoot EMC test failures and recommend design improvements
• Experience preparing technical documentation, test plans, compliance reports, and regulatory submissions
• Familiarity with EMC test software such as EMCWare, Naxio, IEC.control, or similar

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Experience with EMC simulation and modeling tools (EMC Charge Plus or similar)
• Experience working in an ISO 17025 environment
• Prior experience supporting product certifications and regulatory submissions
