Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Sr. Embedded Software Validation Engineer in Kansas City, KS. You will validate embedded vehicle control software across controllers and displays, develop test scripts in Python and C, and collaborate with software, hardware, and systems teams to ensure robust validation coverage.

The role emphasizes hands-on testing, HIL experience is a plus, and operates in a fully onsite environment.

Qualifications

• Must have hands-on experience validating embedded software and testing vehicle/control systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline relevant to embedded systems.
• Experience with Python for test automation and C for embedded software is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform functional, integration, and regression testing of embedded control software.
• Develop and maintain test cases, procedures, and validation docs for embedded vehicle systems.
• Identify gaps in test coverage and implement improvements for quality and robustness.
• Develop and implement simulation-based testing for multi-controller embedded systems.
• Support validation activities using CAN and Ethernet interfaces.
