Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of relevant embedded software experience or equivalent.
• GPA typically 3.0 or higher.
• Experience designing well-architected software systems and modules for new tech or improved performance.
• Experience researching problems and implementing appropriate algorithmic solutions.
• Ability to serve as a lead software engineer for complex projects.
• Capability to decompose functional requirements into well-defined tasks while balancing quality and complexity.

Responsibilities

• Develop embedded software in C/C++ (and potentially C#/Java) for marine chartplotter products.
• Lead or contribute to complex software designs and reviews of architected modules.
• Decompose requirements into tasks and plan accordingly with feasibility in mind.
• Investigate fundamental problems and implement suitable algorithmic solutions.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers and provide technical assessments.
• Support design reviews, data sheet reviews, and contributions to product development plans.
