Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Senior Specialist, Software Engineer (Embedded) in Plano, TX. You will lead and contribute to software development on embedded targets, translating requirements into robust, testable code and interfaces with test engineers to shape test automation.

You will apply modern C++ in RTOS environments, collaborate across hardware, firmware, and software teams, and help drive the full software lifecycle from design through verification, with security clearances as

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience.
Minimum of 6 years experience in computer/software engineering field
Minimum of 6 years C++ development in a professional environment

Responsibilities

Apply computer science, engineering, and mathematical concepts to develop software for embedded hardware.
Develop software for embedded RTOS in C++ and ensure real-time performance.
Collaborate with hardware, firmware, and software teams to meet requirements and design specs.
Investigate root causes and implement fixes in a multidisciplinary team.
Support all phases of the software development lifecycle, including testing and documentation.
