Job summary

Nexus Semiconductor Recruitment Limited is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer for an on-site role in North Huntingdon, PA. You will define, design, and implement embedded software for complex power-conversion products from concept to release.

You will lead real-time firmware, low-level drivers, and system integration, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with hardware, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure robust, production-ready software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical/computer engineering or related field.
• Six+ years of experience in electrical industry or related markets.
• Strong embedded systems and microcontroller knowledge.
• Proficiency in C, C++, and Python.
• Experience with SPI, I2C, USB, UART interfaces.
• Ability to lead projects and work across teams.
• Customer-focused with deadline management.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop real-time embedded software for power conversion systems.
• Perform verification testing for embedded software used in power conversion applications.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers to ensure software compatibility and performance.
• Lead embedded code integration and debugging activities.
• Develop unit tests, integration tests, and software validation procedures.
• Maintain embedded software system documentation for internal and external use.
• Support manufacturing and customers with production and field software issues.
• Conduct root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions for complex field issues.
