Job summary

Trane Technologies seeks an experienced embedded software engineer to design, implement and test firmware for real-time systems. You will integrate CAN, Wi‑Fi, BLE, and cellular connectivity into embedded platforms, using C/C++ and RTOS in an Agile setting.

You will collaborate with Applications Systems Engineering to ensure cloud/software integration, perform code reviews, and drive quality, security, and performance across projects.

Qualifications

• Requires 8+ years hands-on embedding experience.
• Experience with CAN, Wi‑Fi, GPS, BLE 5.x, cellular tech.
• Strong embedded software design and debugging skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead embedded firmware architecture, implementation, testing, and debugging.
• Develop real-time embedded software in C/C++ for CAN/Wi‑Fi/BLE/cellular devices.
• Collaborate with Systems Eng to validate cloud/software integration.
• Perform code reviews and participate in peer programming.
• Ensure reliability, security, and performance per standards.
• Document designs and changes per internal procedures.
• Work in Agile teams and contribute to sprint commitments.
• Support product validation, field tests, and deployments.
