Job summary

Sigma Connectivity Inc. seeks an experienced Embedded Systems Engineer to lead architecture and prototyping of embedded electronic systems, spanning from concept to production-ready designs. Focus areas include PCB/FPC design, sensor systems, power electronics, and firmware integration.

The role demands hands-on ECAD with Altium or Cadence, strong C/C++ development, and experience with high-density interconnect, impedance/power integrity, and validation across a full product lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, electronics engineering, computer engineering, or related field.
• 7–12 years of embedded systems development and electronics design.
• 5+ years of hands-on PCB design (schematic capture, layout, bring-up).
• Experience with multi-layer, mixed-signal, and power electronics designs.
• Embedded C/C++ development (ARM Cortex-M, RTOS, Linux) and Python scripting.

Responsibilities

• Define system architecture and subsystem specifications.
• Design sensor interfaces, analog front-end circuits, and data acquisition systems.
• Design and optimize PCB and FPC layouts (multi-layer, mixed-signal, high-speed).
• Develop power management and battery systems.
• Create schematics and ECAD designs using Altium or Cadence.
• Develop embedded firmware in C/C++ and implement control algorithms.
• Integrate communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, USB, BLE).
• Collaborate with EMS partners for manufacturing and DFM optimization.
