Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Software/Computer/Electrical/Aeronautical Engineering or related field with GPA 3.0+.
• 8+ years of relevant experience, or 6+ years with a master's.
• U.S. citizen eligible for DoD security clearance.
• Embedded software experience interfacing with hardware or embedded-adjacent applications.
• Must reside in North Alabama or relocate to Huntsville area.
• Proficiency in C/C++ for embedded systems.
• Experience with RTOS (VxWorks, Integrity, FreeRTOS) and embedded processors (ARM Cortex, RISC-V).
• Experience with embedded debugging tools and modern software practices (Agile, DevOps, CI/CD, test automation).

Responsibilities

• Lead embedded software design, development, testing, and debugging across subsystems.
• Own integration of modular software across distributed networks and CI/CD pipelines.
• Mentor team members and drive complex, high‑assurance projects.
• Apply SDLC practices including requirements analysis and hardware compatibility.
• Identify and adopt new technologies to improve engineering workflows.
