Job summary

Sonos is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Developer to join the Diagnostics & System Team. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for some of the core software and firmware that will enable new and innovative solutions for the home and businesses.

In the process, you will work with some of the brightest minds across multiple disciplines of software, hardware, radio, acoustics, WiFi, and Bluetooth technologies.

Qualifications

• Embedded system programming in C/C++.
• Knowledge of embedded Linux system architecture.
• Experience with hardware interfaces at a module level (SPI, I2C, I2S, UART, USB, Bluetooth).
• Experience developing performance-critical software in constrained environments.
• Strong written and verbal communication in cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Write clear, reliable, maintainable code for embedded targets.
• Decompose problems into logical components for efficient execution.
• Design new features and maximize existing tech potential.
• Debug low-level issues spanning hardware and software boundaries.
• Contribute to unit tests using GTest.
• Collaborate with software, PM, QA and UX to deliver innovative features.
• Participate in Agile team processes and continuous improvement.
• Debug issues in factory/vendor/test labs.
