Job summary

Sonova Group is seeking a Senior Engineer, Systems - Embedded Electronics to lead system architectures and guide complex hardware-software integration across electrical, firmware and software teams.

You will model and validate embedded electronics, perform feasibility studies, and mentor junior engineers while ensuring timely product delivery. This role collaborates with Marketing, PM and R&D, and requires travel up to 5%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics/Biomedical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of engineering experience with a bachelor’s, or 3+ years with a master’s.
• Experience with analog/digital circuits, FPGA, embedded systems, DSP, RF, control systems or ICs.

Responsibilities

• Define product requirements and technical specifications with Marketing, PM and R&D.
• Develop architectures for embedded electronic products and subsystems.
• Lead system-level trade-offs across ICs, electrical, mechanical, power, cost and schedule.
• Conduct feasibility studies for new products and components.
• Evaluate components, technologies, and solutions.
• Prototype and implement proposed solutions.
• Collaborate across electrical, RF, IC, firmware, software and mechanical teams.
• Support products through development, testing, verification, transfer and sustaining engineering.
• Investigate issues, perform root-cause analysis.
