Job summary

Sonos is seeking an experienced embedded software engineer to design and implement real-time system software for audio devices. You will bring up bootloaders, embedded Linux, and board bring-up on ARM SoCs across multiple platforms.

The role requires strong C/C++, Linux kernel knowledge and experience with U-Boot, Yocto, and device drivers. Hybrid in Boston or Seattle with collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 5+ years firmware/system software experience for embedded systems.
• Strong C/C++ skills and Linux kernel knowledge.
• Experience with U-Boot boot flows and driver development.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement real-time system software for embedded audio.
• Bring up bootloader and embedded Linux on new hardware.
• Lead board bring-up and debug on ARM SoCs and related cores.
• Integrate vendor SDKs and OS modules into build/release.
• Develop HAL libraries for hardware interfaces.
