Job summary

BayOne Solutions is seeking an experienced embedded software engineer to develop and maintain software for RTOS-based automotive ECUs in a San Francisco setting. You will perform board bring-up, hardware validation, and embedded debugging, while collaborating with cross-functional teams and mentoring junior engineers.

The role requires hands-on experience with MCU families (Infineon/NXP/ARM), proficiency in C/C++, Python or Rust, and familiarity with CAN, UDS, and Automotive Ethernet.

Qualifications

8+ years of embedded software experience with Infineon, NXP, or ARM MCUs.
Strong knowledge ofFreeRTOS/SafeRTOS, C/C++, and Python or Rust.
Hands-on experience with board bring-up, debugging tools, lab equipment, and peripheral drivers (SPI, I2C, UART, GPIO).
Knowledge of UDS, CAN, and Automotive Ethernet.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain software for RTOS-based automotive ECUs.
Perform board bring-up, hardware validation, and embedded debugging.
Troubleshoot hardware/software issues and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Work with build systems, device trees, kernel drivers, and low-level software.
Mentor junior engineers and provide project status, risks, and updates.
