Job summary

Analog Devices, Inc. in Wilmington, MA is seeking an experienced Embedded Systems Applications Engineer to support customers and field sales with high-speed converters, mixed-signal front ends, and transceivers. You will develop reference designs, troubleshoot complex issues, and collaborate with product teams to improve features and usability.

The role involves traveling to customer sites up to 10% and building technical content while staying current on ADI products, tools, and industry trends.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in mixed-signal and RF systems, digital communications, embedded hardware and software.
• Hands-on experience with high-speed digital interfaces (LVDS, JESD204) and FPGA devices.
• Proficiency in C, C++, Python; Linux/bare-metal embedded software development.
• MATLAB and Simulink experience; familiarity with code-generation tools (Embedded Coder, HDL Coder).
• Experience with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers).
• Excellent written, verbal, presentation, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% for customer-site visits.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer technical support and training via email, phone, virtual channels, and onsite visits.
• Assess customer system requirements and recommend products, signal chains, and reference designs.
• Support hardware/software platforms, evaluation systems, algorithms, system models, and full-stack reference designs.
• Review customer designs, diagnose issues, and guide resolution.
• Partner with internal hardware/software teams to communicate customer needs and propose product improvements.
• Develop technical content including applications notes, technical articles, and training materials.
