Job summary

Leidos LLC is seeking an Embedded Software Test Engineer to join a multi-disciplinary team focused on missile defense systems. The role emphasizes testing embedded software across hardware interfaces, networks, and automated environments, with strong Python scripting and automation framework development.

The candidate should have extensive software testing experience, experience with RTMs, CI/CD pipelines, and Jira/SaFe workflows, and hold a security clearance or be able to obtain one.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a technical discipline
• 4+ years in software testing, integration, and verification of embedded systems
• Secret security clearance or ability to obtain
• Experience with embedded systems testing and hardware/software platforms
• Experience with automation testing and automated test environments
• Strong Python scripting and debugging skills
• Experience developing and maintaining automation frameworks
• Ability to analyze complex test data
• Experience mapping requirements to test scenarios and procedures
• Experience RTMs and interfaces between software, firmware, hardware
• Experience regression, performance, and formal testing
• Experience with network analysis and debugging tools such as Wireshark
• Experience using Jira and CI/CD for automated testing
• Experience documenting software test artifacts (STPs/STDs/STRs)
• Experience across unit/integration/regression/performance testing
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and troubleshooting skills
• Post-test analysis and reporting capability

Responsibilities

• Support testing and validation activities for embedded systems
