Job summary

RTX is seeking a Senior Section Manager in Marlborough, MA for the Receiver Exciter and Processing Architecture (REPA) department. The role is 100% onsite and leads a section of 15–20 software engineers, providing mentoring and supporting hiring, while aligning with organizational goals.

You will guide embedded real-time software and DSP efforts, collaborating with hardware, firmware, and systems teams to implement and test radar software, participating in code reviews, and driving performance

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 10 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree with at least 7 years experience.
• Experience with C++ application development on real-time operating systems.
• Experience with leading a team.
• Experience with software design processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage a section of 15 to 20 software development engineers.
• Provide career and technical mentoring.
• Support hiring (resume reviews, interviews, etc.).
• Responsible for employee performance impact discussion.
• Resource and staff assignment planning.
• Mentor and develop junior staff.
• Model Raytheon values and behaviors.
• Communicate organizational goals and other pertinent information through monthly team meetings.
• Support Embedded real-time and Digital Signal Processing technologies.
• Collaborate with HW and FW to develop and test subsystems.
• Work with SW and Systems Engineering to implement and test software requirements.
• Participate in and host code reviews.
• Demonstrate aptitude in real-time software and DSP.
• Lead cross-disciplinary teams to meet goals.
