Job summary

L3Harris Technologies, Inc. seeks a Lead Embedded Software Engineer to design, develop, integrate and test embedded controls for airborne imaging systems.

You will work in a cross-functional team to deliver EO/IR solutions and drive software across the full development lifecycle. Responsibilities include interfacing hardware and software, conducting architecture reviews, ensuring software quality, and providing timely production support while coordinating with multiple engineering disciplines in

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field; 9+ years of related experience; graduate degree with 7+ years preferred.
• Experience across the software design cycle including major design and architecture reviews.
• Embedded development experience with hardware/software integration and test.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement and test sensor control software.
• Coordinate with cross-functional engineers to develop and test products and resolve interface problems.
• Follow internal processes to ensure conformance to policies and procedures.
• Provide timely production support and problem resolution.
• Produce status reports and projections for multiple projects.
• Review literature and current practices relevant to solution of assigned projects.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering or related field

Graduate degree (M.S./Ph.D.)
