Job summary

L3Harris Technologies, Inc. in Plano, TX (and Rochester, NY) seeks a Lead, Software Engineering to design, develop, and test embedded control software for airborne imaging systems.

You will work with a cross-functional team to integrate hardware and software, conduct design reviews, and ensure program success while delivering robust EO/IR solutions. The role requires strong C++ and embedded development experience, proficiency with Linux/QNX, and the ability to lead complex software efforts

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field with 9+ years of related experience.
• Experience with software development lifecycle including design reviews and architecture reviews.
• Experience with hardware/software integration and embedded development.
• DevSecOps and test automation using Python or similar languages.
• Experience with APIs/BSPs/Drivers, OpenGL, Linux/Windows/QNX.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement and test sensor control software.
• Coordinate with cross-functional engineers to develop and test products.
• Debug and unit test software; perform system modeling and analysis.
• Provide production support and timely status reports.
