Job summary

Wabtec's Evident Inspection Technologies division in Waltham, MA is seeking a seasoned software leader to own end-to-end software architecture for embedded Qt-based applications, develop system designs, APIs, and scalable frameworks, and drive modern design patterns.

You will manage a cross-functional team, guide architecture and integration with embedded Linux, participate in CI/CD and OTA updates, and shape technical strategy to support long-term product goals while delivering robust, testable

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years professional software experience with at least 5+ years leading a software team, including hiring and performance management.
• 7+ years in C++, Qt/QML and full-stack embedded development; strong embedded Linux background.
• Proven experience managing software projects from design to deployment in Agile environments.
• Ability to architect and develop scalable system designs and maintainable code.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end software architecture for embedded Qt-based applications.
• Lead cross-functional engineering teams and perform code reviews.
• Define technical strategy and evaluate design trade-offs.
