Job summary

Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. seeks a Senior Software Development Engineer for embedded software on custom hardware, including FPGA SoCs. Lead architecture and develop scalable, high-assurance embedded systems within AWS connectivity initiatives.

You will work on end-to-end 100G+ solutions, write Rust, develop Linux drivers, and mentor peers while collaborating with hardware teams. A TS/SCI clearance is required for this role in Arlington/VA area.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 4+ years leading design or architecture of new and existing systems.
• 3+ years of experience with C, C++, or Rust.
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS / SCI or above.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership in developing high assurance software systems.
• Develop embedded software using Rust, and integrate with third party libraries.
• Develop low level drivers for ARM and RISC-V targets, Linux drivers and kernel modules.
• Decompose cryptographic and security requirements into actionable software/hardware design specs.
• Lead design meetings to plan development and review peer designs.
• Mentor and develop peer and junior engineers.
