Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer to architect, develop, and integrate embedded software on custom hardware, including advanced FPGA SoCs. You will lead cross-functional hardware and software teams to deliver scalable, secure 100G+ solutions for government-grade deployments.

You will work in Northern Virginia at our new HQ, with exposure to cutting-edge hardware, cryptographic requirements, and government certification standards.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 4+ years leading design or architecture of new and existing systems.
• 3+ years of experience with C, C++, or Rust in system programming.
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI or above.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership in developing high assurance software systems.
• Develop embedded software using Rust, integrating with third party libraries for end-to-end 100G+ solutions.
• Develop low level drivers for ARM and RISC-V targets, Linux drivers and kernel modules.
• Decompose cryptographic and security requirements into actionable software and hardware designs.
• Lead design meetings and mentor junior engineers.
