Job summary

Baxter Aerospace is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to design, develop, and test embedded software for flight computers and mission-critical systems. You will write and optimize C code for ARM Cortex-M microcontrollers, implement drivers and bootloaders, and work with hardware teams to ensure reliable real-time performance.

This role requires 5+ years of embedded software experience, expertise in C, RTOS usage, and a strong background in debugging and aerospace standards.

Qualifications

• Requires 5+ years of embedded software development experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer/Electrical Engineering, CS, or related field.
• Expertise in C programming for embedded systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain embedded software for flight computers with real-time performance.
• Write C code for microcontrollers (ARM Cortex-M or similar).
• Implement drivers, bootloaders, and peripherals middleware (UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, GPIO).
• Integrate algorithms for navigation, control, and data processing in embedded apps.
• Debug software on custom hardware with hardware engineers.
• Perform unit, integration, and system-level testing of embedded software.
• Ensure compliance with safety-critical aerospace standards and real-time requirements.
• Participate in system architecture design and code reviews.
