Job summary

Siemens Healthineers AG is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join the Molecular Imaging Research and Development team. You will design, develop, test, and support embedded software for motion control and safety-critical subsystems in SPECT Molecular Imaging cameras.

You will collaborate with electrical, mechanical, software, and systems engineers to deliver high-performance, reliable software while adhering to safety requirements and development standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline with hands-on embedded software work.
• 3+ years of embedded software development experience and debugging.
• Experience in C, C++, or C# and low-level hardware interfaces.
• Ability to translate requirements into reliable software designs.
• Strong documentation and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Experience with safety-related subsystems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and support embedded software for motion control and safety subsystems.
• Drive end-to-end development including requirements, architecture, design, and testing.
• Create and maintain software requirements, design specs, and technical docs.
• Develop and optimize code in C/C++/C# for embedded platforms.
• Support hardware/software interfaces and device drivers.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and engineering processes.
• Perform unit testing, debugging, and system integration.
• Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, systems, and software teams.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and continuous improvement.
