Siemens Healthineers in the United States seeks a Staff Systems Engineer for Molecular Imaging to lead the integration of PET/CT and PET/MR systems, coordinating hardware, firmware and software across global engineering teams.

You will own cross‑modality interfaces, drive system‑level investigations, advance architecture decisions, and contribute to quality and reliability through integrated test strategies in a regulated medical device environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Engineering, Physics, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in systems engineering or related role involving complex medical devices or regulated industry.
• Experience investigating and resolving cross-system technical problems.
• Strong written and verbal communication with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Leading system-level investigations into complex issues spanning multiple subsystems.
• Owning cross-modality interfaces between PET, CT, and MR systems.
• Driving system integration across hardware, firmware, and software developed by international teams.
• Advancing quality and reliability through integration and test strategies.
• Contributing to system architecture and interface decisions across embedded software and hardware layers.
• Translating complex challenges into actionable technical approaches with cross-functional input.
• Providing technical leadership and mentorship to fellow engineers.
• Collaborating with global teams in the U.S., Germany, China, and India.
