Job summary

Chipton-Ross is seeking a Software Engineer 3 for a contract opportunity in Point Mugu, CA. You will join the EA-18G software team, developing embedded real-time system software in an on-site role at Naval Air Warfare Center, Point Mugu and Camarillo, CA.

The ideal candidate has a BS/MS in a STEM field with relevant experience, strong Ada/C/C++ skills, and experience on large DoD programs. The role requires US citizenship and a DoD clearance, with on-site work expectations.

Qualifications

BS degree in a STEM field with 5 years of experience or MS degree with 3 years experience.
Experience with Ada, C/C++, C#.
Knowledge of object-oriented software development.
Ability to function as a member of an integrated team.
Experience with version control systems.

Responsibilities

Develop embedded real-time system software.
Work in an Agile environment as part of a scrum team.
Resolve software and system defects.
Collaborate with customer and internal NGC sites.
Participate in peer reviews and technical inter-change meetings.
Use project tools including Rational ClearCase, ClearQuest, DOORS, Git, Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence.
Languages: Ada, C/C++, C#, Python.
