Job summary

Thompson Software Solutions is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join a multi-site team and deliver safety-critical embedded software for defense programs. You will develop, integrate, and test software in C/C++ (Ada) across Linux/Windows environments and contribute to DO-178C compliance.

The role demands 5+ years of experience, strong collaboration, and the ability to travel up to 25%. Remote work options may be available based on role and project needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM discipline
• 5+ years of C/C++ software development experience
• Embedded software experience (C/C++/Ada)
• Experience with real-time OS integration (e.g. Green Hills, Wind River, Lynx)
• Troubleshooting on target hardware in lab/mock-up environments
• Proficient with Linux and Windows development environments
• Experience with Agile/DevSecOps/CI/CD workflows (Azure DevOps, Jenkins)
• Ability to communicate project status with clients and peers
• Experience with integrating independently developed algorithms into embedded software
• Full lifecycle software development experience
• Active Secret DoD security clearance
• 25% Travel
