Job summary

AM General is seeking a Software Development Engineer for an on-site, full-time role in Auburn Hills, MI. The position focuses on planning, coordinating, and delivering vehicle software across multiple projects while adhering to cybersecurity and compliance standards.

The candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to ensure robust, secure software development practices, with opportunities to interact with suppliers and customers in a dynamic manufacturing

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of software development experience.
• Experience with model-based software development (MATLAB & Simulink).
• Familiarity with cybersecurity guidelines and processes.

Responsibilities

• Institute software development plans and best practices with cross-functional teams.
• Coordinate external teams to develop, implement, and maintain vehicle and module software.
• Ensure software development follows cybersecurity guidelines and procedures.
• Work with third parties to achieve CMMI and CMMC compliance and certification.
• Collaborate with AMG teams across Supply Chain, IS&S, Manufacturing, Quality and Engineering.
• Engage with vendors, partners, and customers.
