Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join our Auburn Hills, MI team. You will lead the design, development and integration of complex vehicle software-based systems, working with C/C++ in RTOS/Linux environments and applying SysML modeling.

The role requires at least 15 years of software engineering experience and a bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field, with security clearances and multi-national collaboration expected.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of software engineering experience in embedded domains.
• Experience with RTOS, Linux, and Embedded C/C++.
• Model-based development using UML/SysML.
• Proven track record in full lifecycle product development.

Responsibilities

• Develop vehicle software and cybersecurity with rapid prototyping and agile methods.
• Create software requirements, algorithms, and diagrams; analyze performance.
• Integrate software with hardware, drivers, kernels, containers and VMs.
• Collaborate with customers and suppliers; support SIL/HIL testing.
