Job summary

Montana Instruments is seeking a Software Engineer III to design, architect, develop, integrate, and validate software for our advanced scientific instrumentation and cryogenic technologies.

You will lead development of complex software subsystems, provide technical guidance to colleagues, and drive projects from concept through release, balancing hands-on coding with leadership to deliver reliable, scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/CE/SE or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• Typically 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience developing and deploying software through full lifecycle.
• Experience designing architectures and leading subsystems development.
• Experience with embedded systems and hardware-integrated software.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated build systems.
